"Chocolate" orange cheesecake

About the Recipe

This luxurious rich cheesecake is fit for raw royalty and any occasion



125g of pecans

75g of peanuts

75g dates

75g of figs

1 tbs of date syrup (6 dates blended with a little water to make a syrup consistency)


3 cups of soaked cashews

1 cup of raw carob

the juice of 4 small sweet oranges

The zest of 1 orange


Step 1 Make the cheesecake base by putting all the ingredients into a food processor and pulse until well combined and sticky.

Step 2 Put contents into an 8 or 9 inch pie crust tin.

Step 3 Put the base into the freezer while you make the filling.

Step 4 Put all ingredients except the orange zest into a high powered blender and blend until a smooth creamy consistency.

Step 5 Pour on top of the base and smooth out with a spatula.

Step 6 Return the cheesecake to the freezer for a further 30 minutes.

Step 7 Top with the orange zest and return to the freezer for another 30 minutes.

Step 8 Serve and enjoy.

Chef's Tips

  • For this recipe you will need a high powered food processor and blender.

  • Before serving, leave this cheesecake out for 10-15 minutes to thaw slightly
