About the Recipe

This nice cream recipe is not only absolutely delicious, but is fun and is great for a treat or special occasion.


Nice cream

5 chopped and frozen bananas


the juice of 2 small sweet oranges

1.5 tbs of raw carob

6 dates

5 mulberries

4 pecans

Half a small sweet orange peeled and chopped into bite sized pieces.

The zest of half an orange


Step 1 Make the "chocolate" orange sauce by putting the carob, the orange juice, the dates, mulberries. and pecans into a bullet blender and blend until very smooth.

Step 2 Put the frozen bananas along with half of the sauce into a high powered blender and blend well on high speed using a tamper until the nice cream mixture looks like ice cream.

Step 3 Remove all the mixture from the blender and put into a serving bowl.

Step 4 Spoon the remaining sauce on to the nice cream.

Step 5 Place the pieces of orange onto the nice cream as topping, the sprinkle on the zest to finish.

Step 6 Serve and enjoy.

Chef's Tips

  • For this recipe you will need a high powered blender and preferably a bullet blender to make the sauce, as because it is not a very large amount it would be challenging to fully remove from a large blender.
