About the Recipe
A delicious take on a seasonal favorite flavor to help you enjoy that Fall/Christmas feeling.
Ingredients
Nice cream
5 chopped and frozen bananas
Sauce
1.5 cups of peeled and cubed raw pumpkin
9 soaked and drained dates
1.5 tsp of cinnamon powder
1/2 tsp of nut meg powder
1/2 tsp of ginger powder
2 tsp of ground almonds
Preparation
Step 1 Make a simple date sauce by blending all of the soaked dates in a Bullet blender adding a tsp or two of the juice of a sweet orange, to make a smooth sauce with a similar consistency to maple syrup.
Step 2 Put the frozen bananas and all the other ingredients, except 1/3 of the date sauce and the ground almonds, into a high powered blender and blend until the mixture looks like ice cream.
Step 3 Remove your nice cream from the blender and put into a serving bowl.
Step 4 Drizzle the remaining date sauce on top of your nice cream, stir in gently to cause a marble effect if desired, then sprinkle the ground almonds on top of your nice cream to finish.
Step 5 Serve and enjoy.
Chef's Tips
For this recipe you will need a high powered blender and preferably a Bullet blender to make the date sauce, as because it is not a large amount it would be challenging to remove the sauce from a large blender.
