Spicy "salmon" sushi

About the Recipe

This sushi recipe is a very big favorite in my family, even with my teen daughter who is not raw vegan.

Ingredients

Spicy "Salmon" sushi


6 raw nori pappers for sushi rolls


"Salmon"


8 tomatoes cut into long segments with the seeds removed and set aside

1/2 a chopped red onion

1 tsp of seseame seeds

1 shredded nori papper


"Salmon" marninade


1 nori paper

1 clove of garlic

1/2 a red onion

2 dates

2 dehydrated tomatoes

The juice of half a lemon

1/2 a fresh red chilli

1/4 tsp of black pepper

1/2 tsp of dried sage

1/2 a tsp of dried thyme


Cauli "rice"


450g of cauliflower heads

3/4 cup of raw dried shredded coconut flesh


"Rice" marinade


2 tbs of ACV

1 tbs of coconut aminos

2 cloves of garlic


Sushi salald vegetables


1 whole chopped avocado

1 head of lettuice leaves sepeprated

1 cucumber chopped long ways into thin sticks






Preparation

Step 1 Make the "salmon" by putting all of the ingredients into a dehydrator worthy container.


Step 2 Make the "salmom" marinade by putting all of the ingredients into a small bullet blender and blend until combined.


Step 3 Add the marinade to the "Salmon" stir together well, and dehydrate in the container for 6 hours at 110f.


Step 4 Make the cauli "rice" by putting the "rice" and the marinade into a dehydrator worthy container,mix together well and dehydrate for 5.5 hours.


Step 5 Make 6 sushi rolls by laying the raw nori pappers onto a sushi rolling board and putting 1/6 of the cauli "rice" onto the papper smoothing it out evenly.


Step 6 Add the vegetables, avocado and marinaded "salmon" and roll into sushi rolls.

repeat this 5 more times to make 6 finished sushi rolls.


Step 7 Chop sushi rolls into desired sized pieces.


Step 8 Place sushi onto serving dishes, serve and enjoy.

Chef's Tips

  • For this recipe you will need a dehydrator, although this sushi could be enjoyed without dehydration if prefered.

  • For this recipe you will need a bullet blender or high powered blender.

  • I love to serve this sushi recipe with my Spicy peanut dipping sauce.
