Spicy taco "meat"

About the Recipe

A delicious and spicy raw vegan taco meat



1 cup of soaked walnuts

1/2 a cup of soaked pumpkin seeds

1.5 cups of grated carrot

1 red rell pepper chopped into bite sized pieces

2/3 cup of dehydrated or cold pressed sundried tomatoes

1 large fresh tomato

2 dates

3 cloves of garlic

1/4 cup of fresh oregano

1 tsp of smoked paprika

1/2 tsp of cumin seeds

1 fresh chilli

1 dried chipole pepper or 1/2 tsp of chipole powder

5 tbs of coconut aminos


Step 1 Put all the ingredients into a food processor except 1 cup of the grated carrot and the red bell pepper, and pulse until well combined but textured and looks simular in texture to conventional taco meat.

Step 2 Remove all the mixyure from food processor and put into a large mixing bowl.

Step 3 Add the chopped red bell pepper and the remaining grated carrot and stir into the mixture well with a spoon.

Step 4 Serve and enjoy.

  • For this recipe you will need a food processor.
