About the Recipe
These raw vegan falafels are fit for any plate and great to share with family and friends,
Ingredients
Falafels
240g of peeled and grated carrot
1 large finely chopped red onion
1 tbs of whole chia seeds
1 peeled and chopped zucchini
250g of peeled and chopped carrot
1 peeled and halved white onion
3 cloves of garlic
4 dates
1 fresh red chilli
1 tbs of psyllium husk
2 tbs of freshly ground chia seeds
1/4 cup of peanuts then freshly ground
2 brazil nuts then freshly ground
4 tbs of cumin seeds
3 tsp of smoked paprika
1 tsp of cayanne pepper
1/2 tsp of black pepper
1 tsp of dried thyme
Preparation
Step 1 Make the blended falafel base by putting the peeled zucchini, the 250g of peeled and chopped carrot, the chopped white onion, 3 cloves of garlic, 4 dates and the fresh chilli into a high powered blender and blend unil smooth.
Step 2 Now put the blended mixture into a food processor with all the other falafel ingredients and blend until combined but still slighltly textured.
Step 3 Remove all of the mixture from the food processor and shape into 12 -14 round shapped falafels (depending on desired size).
Step 4 Place the falafels onto dehydrstor sheets and dehydrate for 13 hours.
Step 5 Serve and enjoy.
