Enjoy soul warming foods that are still raw vegan........
In Australia it is now officially WINTER. This means it is time to start enjoying warm comfort foods like soups during the colder months. Being a raw vegan does not mean you have to miss out on warm foods. You can still enjoy warm foods such as soups and other dishes as a raw vegan.
These are some of the ways you can create warm foods as a Raw Vegan:
Using the Vitamix to warm soups & sauces.
I own a Vitmaix blender and use this 3 to 4 times a day to create many of my raw vegan recipes. This blender can heat any food you create in it. If you simply leave the food blending for a period of 3 min or more at high speed. The warming of food in a Vitamix is due to the heat created by the blender's motor while blending. This method will heat the food enough to enjoy it eaten warm and not cook the food.
The temperature of the food created using this method will still be below 40' c. This means the food will contain all the digestive enzymes the body needs. At this temperature the food is still living, and this is optimal for your bodies health.
You can apply this warming technique to any of my recipes that use a Vitamix blender, or other high speed blender you my have at home . I love this very easy option to give most of my meals a warm touch through the colder months.
Using a dehydrator to create warm meals.
I also own a food dehydrator by Excalibur. This is an amazing machine that will heat foods enough to remove the moisture from foods you place inside it. You can set a temperature below 40'c so as no nutrients or enzymes are destroyed in the raw fruits & vegetables you place into the machine.
You have the ability to place most raw vegan dishes into a dehydrator for a couple of hours to simple warm the foods through before it is served. Or there are some warm recipes on my raw. Recipes site that you can create and enjoy using a dehydrator to make warm dehydrated foods this winter.
Every day I am reading more and more about how cooking foods destroys & denatures plant and vegetable matter. Many people then miss out on the vital nutrients their body needs. It is really great to keep high heat away from your foods so as to live and feel your best. I discovered all the health benefits of eating only raw living vegan foods and I want you to feel this too.
