I have been asked lately what my shopping list looks like as a raw vegan. I thought I would share a general list of foods that I always like to have.
I usually shop daily or every other day. I always try have the following ingredients in my fridge. The following products are great for creating some yummy basic meals #rawveganshoppinglist.
Raw vegan Shopping list
2- 3 avocados
1 red bell peppers
3 carrots
3 zucchini’s
3 cucumbers
1 bunch of celery
1 bag of tomato’s
1 bunch of basil
1 bunch of coriander
Spring onions
2 lemons
Bunch of bananas
250g punnet of strawberries
2 papayas
1 packet of mejool dates ( pitted )
1 garlic
Ginger
Turmeric
1 handful of bullet chillies
Untoasted nori sheets ( I use Spiral Foods )
My shopping list varies each day. The above items I always try have on hand as I find I can make some simple and yummy meals with these items #rawveganrecipe.
Simple Raw vegan meals.....
I always start my days with fruit. Have as much of your favourite fruits as you like. I will usually have papaya or a smoothie bowl for breakfast.

3-4 bananas
250g strawberries
2-3 medjool dates ( pitted )
I will snack on medjool dates and bananas until lunch time.
Then for lunch I love a Napoletana sauce with zucchini fettuccine, fresh basil, chilli and lemon juice. The recipe for this is so simple and super yummy.

Sauce
3 tomatoes
1 carrot
1 celery stalk
1 red bell pepper
1-2 cloves of garlic
3 medjool dates pitted
1/2 juice of a lemon
Fettuccine
3-4 zucchini’s
Serve with
1/2 avocado
1/4 lemon
Handful of fresh chopped basil
1/2 fresh chopped chilli
Blend the above sauce ingredients in a blender on high speed until smooth. Take a vegetable peeler and make fettuccine strips from the zucchini and place into a bowl. Serve the blended sauce over the zucchini fettuccine . And serve this with the avocado, basil and lemon.
Next for dinner I would create a salad from any fruit and vegetables I desire. I always love herbs ( eg coriander ), grated ginger, chilli, crushed garlic and lemon juice ( or other citrus ) through my salads.
If you like a sweet taste to your salads you can add strawberries, mango or dates. These all work really well. I also sometimes wrap my salads in raw nori wraps.
