This Christmas both Leanne and I celebrated Christmas with Raw foods. Today I wanted to share the foods we both made for a festive Christmas with Raw Foods.
I will share first what I enjoyed on the day for an Australian Raw Christmas. My Christmas day was spent at my sister's house. I brought all Raw Foods for myself and others to enjoy. When everyone had their Christmas day entrees I had a platter of fresh mangoes. These were absolutely incredibly hydrating and refreshing. Always remember fruit makes for an incredible Raw Vegan dish anytime.
Then when it came to the main meal of the day my sister had made everyone a Caprese salad. She had created some with no cheese, and this was a simple tomato and basil salad that I enjoyed. I have found the longer I am Raw Vegan that over time your friends and loved ones become more mindful of what you can and cannot eat. This salad made me so happy on the day as it always feels so nice to be included!
When it came to the main dish I had made my raw. Rosemary Stuffing Salad Topping the day before Christmas. I sent this recipe out to all the Roar subscribers already. I made a salad full of all my favourite ingredients and topped it with my raw. Mango & capsicum dressing. I loved that this salad was full of my favourite salad ingredients like baby spinach, rocket, cucumber, carrot, tomato, avocado, spring onions, alfalfa sprouts, snow pea sprouts, mung beans, basil, dill, coriander, rosemary, lime wedges, chilli and pomegranate seeds. Everyone who tried it on Christmas day loved it and said "The stuffing tastes like real stuffing!" and remember they are not Raw Vegan.
This salad was so huge that I even had left overs for the next day. I enjoyed the same dish the day after Christmas and it still tasted like heaven.
Now I wanted share what Leanne ate Christmas day as a Raw Vegan in the Philippines. On Leanne's Christmas day Leanne enjoyed her raw Christmas salad (you can find some of thes ingringredients so used in her salad here) . The salad contained Leannes Raw Vegan stuffing, cranberry sauce, “meat”, Christmas dressing, creamed cheese and a pumpkin mash.
After the main course Leanne served for her and her husband who is also a Raw Vegan they enjoyed one of Leannes amazing desserts. This was Leanne'sRaw Vegan Banoffee pie. There was even enough food for Leanne (like myself) to enjoy a Raw Vegan Christmas left overs bowl the day after Christmas. This tradition is almost as yummy as Christmas!
Christmas is the time of year to feel good. It is great to share your health and great healthy meals with friends and family. To help make it easier Leanne and myself have shared some of the Christmas Day Raw Vegan recipes #rawveganrecipes.
