I am currently in Bali and absolutely loving all the beautiful raw foods to indulge in here! From bright coloured juices and salads to the most beautiful of tropical fruits. I promise that Bali has it some of the best and most fun raw foods around.
On the first day in Bali it was Easter Sunday and I celebrated this with my family at Azul Beach Club Restaurant , Bali. This was a great restaurant as there was a salad bar full of raw fresh foods. I created a salad from mixed leaf salad, cos lettuce, carrots, corn and baby tomato. I then used fresh lemon juice as a dressing over the salad.
I had 3 massive salads at this restaurant and ordered a beautiful juice off of their drinks menu. I ordered a juice called Unicorn Blood and it was made from lemon, beetroot, pineapple, carrot and cucumber.
The next raw foods I tried were some of the delicious fruits Bali has to offer. I tried eating mangosteen which were sweet and tangy. The Pink dragon fruit which is sweet, lush and very hydrating. I also loved the mango, papaya and watermelon here too. There is so many fruits to try here in Bali it is like a fruit party!
I of course tried durian here also! I have absolutely fallen head over heels in love with durian while staying here in Bali. I find the durian tastes like a creamy, cheese onion and vanilla cake or dip. That description may sound strange to some, and yet I promise it is a must try fruit here in Bali!!
I have also been enjoying salads here with foods I find from local farmers and fresh supermarkets. I really have found the corn here in Bali to be very sweet and I am also enjoying the local birds eye chilli's in sauces and dressings.
I have been filling my salad creations here with lots of fresh produce like fruits, greens, vegetables, herbs and fresh spices. I have been making lots of beautiful salads including a mango n basil salsa salad, corn chilli salad and a beautifully yummy raw. Balinese salad. I have also been enjoying drinking many fresh coconuts here too!
Truthfully I am having so much fun with foods in Bali. whether it is trying new fruits or creating new salads.
